A beautiful South Pacific morning. Low swells widely spaced and almost calm surface. Turquoise sea. Sharp horizon and a few summer clouds. The temperature on our verandah, in the shade, with the ship making a breeze, is 78º. A 2 mile morning walk was again accomplished. Nothing man made is in sight beyond the ship. The only outside life I have had the opportunity to spot today has been winged; several sea birds and one flying fish. At Noon we had made 352 nm from Tongatapu and 8,388 since leaving Ft. Lauderdale. 775 nm to next stop. By afternoon a few white caps appeared. A mid day crew fire drill provided a bit of diversion but other than that this is a typical sea day.
The dress code for this evening was formal and as we speed SW may be the last formal night for white dinner jacket until we return to 23.5º S. We had received an invitation to the Captain's Table for a reception and dinner and had a wonderful evening of chatting, fine dining and excellent wines. The Pinnacle Grill crew again provided outstanding food and service.
