22 April, Day 107 The Atlantic

The morning was spent packing and suitcases are beginning to crowd the cabin. At 0615 I watched a large ketch sail by heading east, maybe for Madeira or the Med. The seas are low and no white caps yet. The sky is sunny. The crew scrubbed the teak decks this morning; a sure sign we are nearing a major turnover of passengers. Julie is packing with earnest now. At 1230 there was a pizza party in the Neptune, organized by a few of the courtiers, which packed the room and lasted until 2pm. The good-byes begin, cards are exchanged and promises made to visit homes and meet on future voyages. I snuck off for an hour to visit the control room on deck A and get a look at crew space.

Late afternoon reading shows we are turning 21 knots and have covered 30,451nm this voyage. Dinner with friends in the Pinnacle Grill tonight to devour steaks.
