At Sea
Cruising out of the Pitcairn Islands group westward for French Polynesia and the Tuamotu archipelago. Finally, after 30 years, Julie and I have arrived in the Tuamotus but without our beloved sailboat, Scimitar II. Our noon report shows a total cruise of 5,642 nm with 753 nm to Papeete, Tahiti, our next stop. Since leaving Peru we have made 3,953 nm. Tonight was “Mutiny on the Bounty” theme night, formal wear, in honor of our visit to Pitcairn.
