Day 2 January 6, 2011

Living room and office

home for awhile

At Sea.
Having caught up on sleep we completed the last of the unpacking and caught the boat drill. Two of our bags, we discovered, are bound for Peru on the Princendam. The team from the Neptune are making arrangements for a reunion of passengers and luggage. As we had packed in several bags and mixed our clothes among those bags, we will not be naked. But, I am down to a choice of two ties for formal nights.
We ran into several friends from the 08 Grand Asia and Australia cruise and developed some new friendships as well.
This evening we attended an invitational Welcome Party in the uppermost lounge to meet and visit with the Captain, Hotel Manager, Food Manager, Beverage Service Manager, Health and Ecology Officer, Cruise Planner, Pinnacle Manager and several other Officers and staff.
Dinner was in the Pinnacle Grill with friends Gary and Terri, who we had met on the 08 cruise. We had a great dinner; the Steak Diane I could cut with a fork. Mitzi Gaynor and entourage were at the table behind ours so I guess she will be doing a show pretty soon. We closed the Pinnacle at 11 and retired for a good sea snooze while heading toward the Cayman Islands.
